Suspect arrested in connection with South Bend shooting

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting in South Bend.
On Wednesday, April 15, around 10:30 p.m., South Bend Police responded to the 600 block of S. 36th Street on the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
Through an investigation, 44-year-old Diana Bright of South Bend was identified as a suspect and was ultimately arrested.
Bright is being held at the St. Joseph County Jail, awaiting a formal charging decision from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
