Nappanee man sentenced on child pornography charges

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

A Nappanee man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

Police say 59-year-old Brian Cochran was investigated after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A search of his West Van Buren Street home in December uncovered nearly 100 images and videos involving underage girls.

Cochran admitted to police he “had a problem,” and investigators say the material involved victims from across the country.

The Goshen News says court records show he also had a prior child molestation conviction in 2002. He was sentenced to seven years in prison under a plea agreement.
