Elkhart Community Schools is celebrating a seventh straight national honor for music education.
The district has again received the Best Communities for Music Education Award from the NAMM Foundation.
This recognition highlights strong support, funding and access to music programs for students. In 2026, more than 1,000 schools nationwide earned the distinction. Officials say it reflects dedicated teachers, engaged families and student commitment.
Applications were reviewed by WolfBrown, an independent research firm.
District leaders say the honor underscores continued investment in arts education and opportunities for every student to participate and excel across classrooms.
