A 24-year-old Benton Harbor man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Cass County over the weekend, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 9:50 a.m. Sunday, May 24, to the area of M-152 and Pleasant Street in Silver Creek Township near Dowagiac.

Investigators said Timothy Johnson was walking along M-152 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver left the scene before emergency crews arrived.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
