The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle that may be connected to a fatal hit-and-run crash in Silver Creek Township.

Investigators say 24-year-old Timothy Johnson of Benton Harbor was struck and killed while walking along M-152 near Pleasant Street shortly before 10 a.m. on May 24.

As the investigation continues, authorities have identified a possible vehicle of interest. Detectives are searching for a 2010 to 2012 Ford Taurus believed to have significant damage on the driver’s side.

Officials say they are still awaiting the official autopsy report and continue to review evidence collected at the scene.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Cass County Sheriff’s Office tip line.
