Four people injured after train strikes SUV at Goshen crossing

Four people were injured Saturday evening when a train collided with an SUV at a railroad crossing in Goshen.

Police and firefighters responded shortly after 5:20 p.m. to the North Main Street crossing following reports of a crash involving a train and a vehicle.

Responding officers found an SUV that had been struck on the south side of the tracks.

A 44-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was flown to a regional hospital for treatment.

A 39-year-old man and two children, ages 5 and 6, were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
