A man who admitted breaking into an Elkhart County salvage yard and stealing a vehicle has been sentenced.

Skylar Stroder was arrested after employees at Paul’s Auto Yard spotted someone inside the secured property before opening.

Police later stopped Stroder driving away from the area and discovered a key belonging to another stolen vehicle.

The Goshen News says Stroder told officers he entered the yard to sleep but panicked and drove off when employees arrived. He received a four-year sentence under a plea agreement.
