A Bristol-area burglary case returned to court Thursday as the defendant requested a public defender.

38-year-old Norman Mast is accused of unlawfully entering a storage unit at All Secure Self Storage near Bristol.

Investigators say Mast was found inside a unit belonging to a woman he knew and was allegedly carrying jewelry taken from the unit.

The Goshen News says during Thursday’s hearing, Mast told the court he remains unable to hire an attorney. A pretrial conference remains scheduled for July 16.
