A Shipshewana woman faces two felony charges following an investigation into the death of her infant.
Indiana State Police say detectives began investigating after being called to a Shipshewana home on April 6.
Authorities say the investigation led to charges against the child’s mother, 24-year-old Chantel Cunningham.
Cunningham was charged Wednesday with murder and neglect of a dependent causing death, both Level One felonies.
She was taken into custody and is being held in the LaGrange County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
