The murder trial for 59-year-old Michael Hawkins Junior is set for October 19th in Elkhart County.
The Goshen News reports Hawkins is accused of killing 50-year-old Anthony Null, whose body was found in the St. Joseph River in July 2025.
An autopsy determined Null died from a gunshot wound. Court documents say the two men had argued before the shooting.
Hawkins was initially arrested on drug charges. Another pretrial conference is scheduled for September 24th.
