39-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez has been sentenced after a jury found him guilty of dealing methamphetamine.

Police arrested Rodriguez during a traffic stop in Elkhart in March after noticing marijuana coming from his vehicle.

The Goshen News says his passenger told police Rodriguez instructed her to store methamphetamine, which she said he had provided as part of a trade.

Rodriguez denied knowing about the drugs.

He received 25 years, including 15 in prison, and plans to appeal.
