Elkhart County Veterans will be getting free access to county parks next year.

FreedomSystem.org and the Elkhart County Parks Department are partnering to provide free 2027 Elkhart County Parks passes to eligible Veterans.

The passes will allow Veterans to use the county parks throughout the 2027 season at no cost. Details on eligibility and how to get the passes will be announced closer to the program’s launch.

The partnership also comes ahead of FreedomSystem.org’s annual Veterans BBQ Cookout

The event is set for October 10th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ox Bow County Park. Veterans, their families, supporters and community members are invited to attend and share a meal.
