Thousands of Hoosiers recovering from recent severe storms will soon receive automatic relief for lost food.

Governor Mike Braun announced federal approval for an automated mass replacement of SNAP benefits, delivering up to 10 million dollars in assistance to more than 36,000 eligible households across 19 counties.

Replacement funds ranging from 15 to 60 percent will be loaded directly onto recipients’ EBT cards on or around September 26th—with no paperwork or office visits required.

Additionally, state officials are extending emergency hotel vouchers for another 30 days to support displaced families.
