Brown Mackie is no longer admitting students to its South Bend campus as the school plans to close it and 25 other campuses around the country over the next few years.

Education Management Corp., the parent company that operates Brown Mackie, announced the closures on Friday, June 10. The Michigan City, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Merrillville campuses will also close.

The South Bend campus will remain open through at least June 2018, the South Bend Tribune reported.

“We will not close until all current students have completed their programs of study,” Education Management Corp. spokesman Bob Greenlee told the Tribune.

There are 178 students enrolled at the South Bend campus. Some students plan to finish their degrees, while others told the Tribune they will consider transferring.
