Local officers to compete in Arnold Classic powerlifting competition

A pair of local officers will show off their strength this weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

New South Bend Police Department Officer David Boutsomsy will be one of the 56 competitors in the annual Arnold Classic powerlifting competition, along with Elkhart County Correctional Officer Thomas Davis.

Boutsomsy is a member of the U.S. National Team. He was the 2016 NAPF Bench Press Champion and Gold Medal winner, breaking the bench press record in the process.

Davis is the 2016 IPF Classic Bench Press World Champion and Gold Medal winner. He has competed in numerous bench press competitions in years past, along with Boutsomsy.
