Results are in from Tuesday’s special election in Michigan.

Benton Harbor voters approved a “sinking fund” millage proposal that will work to improve their schools.

Buchanan voters rejected a similar millage renewal for their schools while Galien rejected a 10-year millage proposal.

Edwardsburg and Constantine approved school millages, though Constantines was by a thin margin.

And, New Buffalo passed a public safety millage that tacks a dollar onto every $1,000 of taxable property to pay for it. Failure to pass the measure would have likely impacted the community’s contract with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
