Police in Elkhart County are asking for your help identifying two suspects who battered and injured a 19-year-old Elkhart man after trying to steal his vehicle.

It happened around midnight, Saturday morning, in the 25-thousand block Lake Dr. in Elkhart, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators say the male suspects approached the victim, who had walked to his vehicle which was parked in his driveway. After demanding the keys, the suspects began hitting the man multiple times, causing injury to his face and head. The suspects then left, but didn’t take the vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital.
