Former Notre Dame wide receiver Kevin Stepherson to remain in Fulton County jail

Former Notre Dame wideout Kevin Stepherson isn’t leaving Fulton County jail any time soon.

The troubled athlete appeared in Fulton County court Thursday on probation violation charges. He denied violating his probation despite arrests in St. Joseph, Marshall and Whitley Counties since.

The judge then refused Stepherson’s bond request, meaning that he’ll remain in jail at least until his next court date of March 13th.

His troubles started with a marijuana possession conviction in 2016 after he and four other teammates were pulled over. He took a plea deal there in June.

In December, he was similarly charged in Marshall County during a traffic stop. The next day, he allegedly stole sweatpants from University Park Mall. Last month, he was again allegedly caught with marijuana in Whitley County.

Has Notre Dame significantly lowered their standards for STUDENT athletes, or should I assume this guy just snuck through the cracks?
