Mishawaka High School found itself with a big pair of shoes to fill when long time head football coach Bart Curtis left for Warsaw High School, and now they have their guy.

The in-depth search ended with the elevation of someone already familiar to the team and the community. Offensive Coordinator Keith Kinder has been promoted and will serve as only the 4th head coach at the school in the past three decades, according to the South Bend Tribune.

During his seven seasons working with Coach Curtis, Kinder has been part of five sectional championships with the Cavemen, and a State Title Game in 2012. He also won back-to-back state titles as a quarterback at Jimtown in 1997 and 1998.
