The City Council in Goshen is hearing from the public about a proposed smoking ban that would include E-cigarettes and vapes.

The public will be given the chance to speak up about an ordinance that would resemble the state’s less-restrictive rules about public places, according to WSBT.

The city notes that the law does not address smoking in outdoor seating areas or parks, and does not restrict vaping and E-cigarettes, WSBT reported.

The original proposal sought to make all businesses in the city smoke-free, with exceptions for fraternal clubs, bars and vape shops.

The council will meet again for a final vote September 4th.
