Man shot during attempted robbery at KFC in Elkhart

A 45-year-old man is recoevering after being shot after an attempted robbery at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the 2700 block of S. Main Street in Elkart.

The incident happened around 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, according to Elkhart Police.

A 45-year-old male was shot in the shoulder after an attempted robbery at the business. The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with A non-life-threatening injury.

The two suspects are described as wearing masks and light-colored hooded sweatshirts.

The susepcts entered the open back door of the business, but no items were taken.
