16-year-old boy found shot and killed on railroad tracks in Elkhart

A teenage boy was found dead, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds  in Elkhart.

Police were called around 12:25 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 7, to the 900 block of Wagner Avenue in regard to a subject on the railroad tracks.

The victim, Jaiden Cooper, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was called and is currently working the investigation.
