An investigation into suspected odometer fraud in Elkhart County has led to eight people being taken into immigration custody.
Indiana State Police assisted with search warrants Thursday at three locations, including two in Bristol and another along County Road 15.
Investigators did not locate the suspects connected to the odometer fraud case. However, police say eight people at the properties had active immigration warrants.
They were taken into custody, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement handling that portion of the case. The fraud investigation remains ongoing.
