Elkhart Police search for Sprint burglary suspect

The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a recent burglary suspect.

Officers were dispatched to the Sprint store on Cassopolis Street on Tuesday, Sept. 17, just before 3 a.m. on reports of a “forced entry.”

While reviewing security footage, officers discovered the suspect broke into the store by breaking the front door with a hammer.

The suspect is seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants, Puma sneakers and gloves. They were also carrying a two-tone backpack.
