South Bend Schools Loses 700 Students This Year

South Bend Schools continue to hemorrhage students as the latest numbers show that the district is down 700 students from where it was last year, this as parents look for other local options for their children. Each one of those students means about $7,000 that the district will not receive in funding.

By comparison The South Bend Tribune says they reached out to several other local districts—PHM, Goshen, Warsaw, Elkhart and more. The only one of those that didn’t see an increase in students in their schools was Elkhart–they lost about 100 students.
