The drug take back event last week in Indiana was a big success.

Saturday, October 26 saw a combined effort of the Indiana State Police and federal and local governments. At sites around the state the Prescription Drug Take Back Day saw people turn in more than eight tons of medication.

Jim McClelland, Indiana’s Executive Director for Drug Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement, says he hopes more people will take advantage of the convenient drop off locations that are available throughout the year across the state.
