Several businesses in downtown Niles damaged after gunfire

Several businesses in Niles were damaged after a shooting incident.

Police were called around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, to 4th Street in downtown Niles after a fight led to shots being fired.

More than a dozen shots were fired, according to the Niles Daily Star.

Bullets caused damage to the storefronts of Leader Publications, Shelf Life Bookstore and Off Main Street Salon, the Niles Daily Star reported.

There was no word of any injuries. Police did not provide any immediate information about suspects or arrests.
