Michigan is the national hotspot in COVID cases per population

Michigan led the US with the most COVID-19 cases per population last week.

On Wednesday more than 6,000 new cases were reported in the state, and there’s an average of 361 cases per 100,000 residents.

The state has become the new national hotspot, and the Berrien County Health Department reports their biggest rise in infections is happening among middle and high school-aged children. They also say there’s been a drop in people getting tested for the virus, even with the jump in cases.
