Police searching for suspect in Monday Mishawaka shooting

Police are searching for the suspect involved in a Monday shooting in Mishawaka.

Officers were called to the 300 block of W. Mishawaka Avenue just before 10 a.m. on reports of shots fired.

At the scene, police found a 23-year-old woman sitting in a vehicle, who told them she was meeting someone near Battell Park when she heard a popping sound and thought she had been shot at.

Police report she was not struck by a bullet, but had minor injuries from flying glass.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area north on Liberty Drive and west on Broadway, driving a green pickup truck.
