Peloton issues fix for recalled treadmills after child death

Peloton has released a software fix for their recalled treadmills after a massive recall.

The fix locks the machine after 45 seconds of inactivity.

The recall was prompted by dozens of injuries, and the death of a child, and covered 125,000 treadmills.

Peloton initially denied Consumer Product Safety Commission’s request to issue a recall and claimed the devices were safe as long as its recommendations were followed.

Peloton is taking an estimated $165 million hit in revenue as a result of the recall.
