Two arrested on slew of charges in Niles last week

Two people were arrested in Niles last week on several different charges.

Back on July 21, officers stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver, a 27-year-old woman from South Bend, for allegedly carrying a concealed pistol and allegedly furnishing false information to police.

The vehicle’s passenger, a 31-year-old South Bend man, was also arrested after he was found with a suspected quarter pound of crystal methamphetamine and a small quantity of heroin.

Three children were also in the vehicle at the time of arrest, and were turned over to family members.

The two facing charges have not been identified at this time.
