Man injured in shooting at Seventh St. and Poplar St. in Niles

A man is recovering after being shot in Niles.

Police were called around 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, to the area of Seventh Street and Poplar Street where they found a man with two gunshot wounds, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The man’s injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

There was no immediate word of any suspects or arrests.

It’s the second shooting that took place on Poplar Street within a week.

A 15-year-old was shot on Poplar Street on Monday, Aug. 9.
