South Shore offering free rides for eastbound travelers

The South Shore Line announced that all weekday, eastbound trips will be free for passengers.

From September 1 through October 31, the South Shore Line says they will be offering these free rides out of appreciation for the passengers who continued to use their services during the pandemic.

Any traveler heading east on weekdays will be able to simply board the South Shore Line without a voucher or ticket.

Passengers will still be responsible for paying for tickets on weekends and for all westbound travel.

The South Shore Line reminds you that passengers will be expected to follow the mask requirement that is in place until January 18.

Certain passengers are exempt from the mask mandate, including passengers with health issues and children under the age of 2.
