Zimmer Biomet has cut 65 workers in Warsaw.

The medical device company is blaming the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zimmer Biomet makes products used by doctors and hospitals across the globe. The company has roughly 5,500 employees in Indiana.

An employee there told our partner in news at ABC 57 that management said there shouldn’t be anymore reductions to staff for now, but it could change in the future.

That message left people afraid, angry and upset.

A statement from the company confirmed COVID-related slowdowns as the cause.
