A driver in Porter County seen swerving and randomly stopping her car is now facing felony counts of driving while intoxicated.

Police took 27-year-old Emily Lis into custody, late last week. Lis faces a charge of resisting law enforcement, as well three OWI’s.

Authorities say when they stopped her, they smelled alcohol. When they asked for her driver’s license, they say she handed the officer a pill bottle instead. Then she refused to answer any more questions.

A blood draw revealed she had an “extremely high” alcohol count.

Lis was taken to the Porter County Jail.
