Governor Whitmer has announced funding to fix roads in two Michigan counties, including Berrien.

Whitmer and M-DOT officials announced Wednesday that Transportation Economic Development Grants had been approved for Berrien and Wayne Counties, resulting in 729 jobs and a number of infrastructure improvements.

This will help expand Whirlpool’s technical facilities in St. Joseph and related projects in the Upton Drive area. MDOT has committed to supporting the new St. Joseph Technical Center and will help strengthen the relationship between St. Joseph and Whirlpool, who have their Global Headquarters in the area.
