The man convicted of the “Prom Night Murders” in South Bend 32 years ago — was back in a courtroom earlier this week requesting a new trial.

Jeff Pelley was found guilty in 2006 of murdering his father, stepmom, and two step sisters.

He has maintained his innocence in the murders ever since he was charged.

A judge listened to testimony in an evidentiary hearing on Monday, March 14, which is where Pelley and his attorneys brought new evidence they feel warrants a new trial in the case.

It also included testimony from a private investigators and former homicide detective.

It’s not clear yet if Pelley will be granted a new trial.
