A police chase in Goshen ended with an arrest, but not before two separate crashes resulted in two people being injured.

The pursuit began just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the 1700 block of Lincolnway East when Goshen Police were called on the report of a reckless driver.

The report stated that the driver of a white BMW was driving recklessly – passing cars in the turn lane and running red lights.

Officers located the BMW and attempted to stop it. They say the driver failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit.

During the chase the suspect driver caused two collisions, one of which involved multiple cars and resulted in two injured people.

One person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The BMW came to a stop in the 25000 block of County Road 20.

Donnie Kaomixay, 33 of Elkhart, was taken into custody by Goshen Police with help from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office and the Elkhart Police Department.
