Legislation to fund handgun training for teachers heading to Governor Holcomb’s desk

Proposed legislation to fund handgun training for teachers is heading to Governor Holcomb’s desk.

The bill passed the Indiana Senate with a 41-to-8 vote, Wednesday, after changes made to the measure were approved by House lawmakers.

If Holcomb signs it into law, teachers will have the option to get 40 hours of gun training.

School districts in Indiana are already allowed to approve of armed teachers, but there is no training required for that to happen.

Again, this is absolutely idiotic.
An extremely small group of teachers if any at all will volunteer for this garbage.

That extremely small group of volunteers has a better chance of preventing tragedy than any security measure the leftists want to enact.

Maybe we should just hang up some more “no guns allowed” signs? That will stop them for sure!

I fully support willing armed teachers. It’s not the weapon that’s evil- it’s people.
