LaPorte police got double their effort when tracking down a woman wanted on a warrant from St. Joseph County.

Police were called to the 400 block of D Street, Thursday night, on a tip that the wanted woman, Nicole Williams, 24, was at that location. Williams refused to surrender, so police forced their way into the home and arrested her.

They also arrested Thomas McDonald, 36, for assisting a criminal.
