Motorcyclist hurt in crash on M-40 near Dutch Settlement Street

Cass County Sheriff’s investigators are looking into factors after a motorcyclist struck a vehicle.

The collision happened around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, on M-40 south of Dutch Settlement Street.

Police say a 38 year-old South Bend man was traveling northbound was attempted to make a left turn when 57 year-old, Vicksburg resident, who was also was traveling northbound.

As the motorcyclist attempted to pass on the left, he struck the vehicle.
