USPS releases shipping, mailing deadlines for holiday season

Holiday shipping and mailing deadlines have been provided for the 2023 season.

The United States Postal Service has announced that it will not have a demand surcharge this season and that it will continue to be the most affordable way to mail and ship this holiday season.

In order to ensure packages and mail will arrive at their destination, USPS recommends sending them out no later than the following dates.

Within the Lower 48:

  • USPS Ground Advantage – Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail – Dec. 16
  • Priority Mail – Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail Express – Dec. 20

Alaska:

  • USPS Ground Advantage – Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail – Dec. 16
  • Priority Mail – Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail Express – Dec. 20

Hawaii

  • USPS Ground Advantage – Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail – Dec. 16
  • Priority Mail – Dec. 16
  • Priority Mail Express – Dec. 20

Air/Army Post Office, Fleet Post Office, Diplomatic Post Office:

  • USPS Ground Advantage – Nov. 6
  • First-Class Mail – Dec. 9
  • Priority Mail – Dec. 9
  • Priority Mail Express – Dec. 15

Shipping deadlines for international mail varies based on the destination.
