Spike strips used in Edwardsburg to stop two-state police chase

In an early Friday morning incident, law enforcement officers from two states collaborated to apprehend a suspect involved in a domestic dispute.

The pursuit commenced shortly before 3:30 a.m. in Elkhart County and traversed into Cass County, Michigan.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department reported that the individual, whose identity is being withheld pending arraignment, entered the Edwardsburg area.

Spike strips successfully deflated the car’s tires, bringing the chase to a conclusion.

The unnamed suspect is currently in custody at the Cass County Jail.

The pursuit involved officers from Elkhart County, Cass County, Cassopolis, and the Michigan State Police.
