South Bend man sentenced after pleading guilty to arson

A South Bend man has been sentenced to 240 months in prison after pleading guilty to arson.

According to court documents, Quintin Ferguson, 34, intentionally set fire to a Granger apartment unit in January of 2021, causing damage to more than a dozen apartments.

Due to the rescue efforts of citizens police and fire personnel, apartment residents escaped uninjured.

Ferguson was caught on video starting the fire and was also tracked at the scene by the GPS monitor he was wearing at the time.
