New data from the Alzheimer’s Association reveals that nearly seven million Americans across the country have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
In Indiana, specifically, 121,000 residents, known as Hoosiers, have received a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a severe illness falling under the category of dementia, typically affecting individuals aged 65 and older.
Symptoms include confusion, memory loss, depression, and deterioration in motor skills.
Unfortunately, as the disease advances, it ultimately leads to fatality.
