The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating a homicide.

This investigation stems from a call for service shortly after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in the 1400 block of South Miami Street.

One person has been detained in connection with this investigation.

The South Bend Police Department is collaborating with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office and will release additional details on Wednesday.
