Some of the people gazing skyward on Monday in Indiana were students from the University of Michigan.

WSJM reports that Aerospace Engineering Associate Professor James Cutler and a group of students went south of Fort Wayne to be there for the path of totality. They watched the eclipse and conducted research, including the use of balloons to measure weather models that went up about 20 miles.
