MDOT invites households to take part in travel survey

MDOT is distributing a new travel survey that will help define the future of travel in the state for the next two decades.
The household surveys were first introduced 20 years ago to keep an eye on how drivers in the state use the roads. But it has been 9 years since the last survey, so MDOT is ready to see how the needs of the roads have changed.
Random households will be invited to take part in the survey by mail over the next two years.
The data will help plan highway projects and other transportation needs in Michigan.
