A major road improvement project will get underway, next week, on Johnson Street between Bristol Street and Beardsley Avenue.

The project should take five days with crews working in three shifts around the clock the entire week.

The 24/7 approach is designed to minimize the traffic disruption Johnson Street, which is one of Elkhart’s busiest thoroughfares.

The city will host a ribbon-cutting when construction is complete.
