Victim of fatal house party shooting near Bremen identified

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24,  St. Joseph County Police officers were dispatched to an unknown address on Quinn Road near Bremen in southern St. Joseph County after a caller reported that someone had been shot at a house party.
A short time later officers located and searched a known short-term rental house in the 17200 block of Quinn Road. Inside the house officers located evidence of a shooting.
As officers searched the house, staff at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka reported that a shooting victim ,Magic Marquise Murphy, 19, arrived there. Murphy died from those gunshot wounds.
County investigators continue to investigation this homicide and no arrests have been made at this time.
